3α,13‐Dihydroxyforesaconitine from the Roots of Aconitum forestii Stapf 3α,13‐Dihydroxyforesaconitine ( 1 ) was isolated from the roots of Aconitum forestii Stapf. It was identified as the 8‐ O ‐acetyl‐14‐ O ‐(4‐methoxybenzoyl) derivate of 3α,8β,13,14α‐tetrahydroxy‐1α,6α,16β‐trimethoxy‐4β‐(methoxymethyl)aconitane ( 2 ). Substructures of 2 obtained by hydrolysis of 1 were derived from two‐dimensional carbon‐proton and proton‐proton shift correlations.
