Baeyer‐Villiger Reaction with 1‐Acetyl‐1,3,5‐cycloheptatrienes In order to synthesize a homologue of acetylsalicylic acid the Baeyer‐Villiger reaction of 1‐acetyl‐1,3,5‐cycloheptatrienes 1a–c has been tested. The corresponding acetoxycycloheptatrienes 2a–c were obtained in good yields (51–71 percent).
