Note on the Synthesis of Partially Hydrogenated 5‐Hydroxy‐1,7‐naphthyridine Derivatives The preparation of 5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐1,7‐naphthyridine‐5‐ol ( 5 ) and of 1,2,3,4‐tetrahydro‐1,7‐naphthyridine‐5‐ol ( 6 ) from ethyl 7‐benzyl‐5‐oxo‐5,6,7,8‐tetrahydro‐1,7‐naphthyridine‐6‐carboxylate ( 1 ) is described.
