The 13 C‐NMR spectra of four cyclopeptide alkaloids, namely zizyphine‐A ( 2 ), amphibine‐D ( 3 ), amphibine‐E ( 4 ), and zizyphine‐D ( 5 ), have been studied. Conclusions have been drawn concerning the conjugation in the alkoxystyrylamine unit present in these compounds.
