Porosadienone ( 1 ), a sesquiterpene ketone with the new 8(7→8)‐ abeo ‐eudesmane skeleton, was isolated from the commercial Brazilian Phoebe oil ( Phoebe porosa Mez. syn. Oreodaphne porosa Mez.). The structure was established by 1 H‐ and 13 C‐NMR data and by reduction to the corresponding alcohol 2 .
