Polyhydroquinolines have been synthesized in good to excellent yields (80–90%) and short reaction times (15–30 min) in the presence of aluminum phosphate [AlPO 4 ] as heterogeneous catalyst at 90°C; the reaction workup is simple and the catalyst aluminum phosphate [AlPO 4 ] can be easily separated from the product and reused.
