2‐Alkyl and 2‐arylhydrazine derivatives of 5 H ‐2‐R‐6‐fluoro‐7‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazolo[3,2‐ a ]pyrimidin‐5‐one were prepared by reaction of 5 H ‐2‐bromo‐6‐fluoro‐7‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazolo[3,2‐ a ]pyrimidin‐5‐one with hydrazine derivatives. A convenient procedure was developed for the preparation of new hydrazine derivatives of 5 H ‐2‐R‐6‐fluoro‐7‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazolo[3,2‐ a ]pyrimidin‐5‐one. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2011).
