A simple and convenient procedure for the preparation of 2‐benzylthiobenzirnidazoles by the reaction of 2‐mercaptobenzimidazole and benzyl bromides in acetone/potassium carbonate condition has been reported and the compounds were screened for their potential antimicrobial activities.
