Abstract A simple and convenient procedure for the preparation of 2‐(substitutedbenzylsulfanyl)benzothiazoles by the reaction of 2‐mercaptobenzothiazole and benzyl bromides in acetone/K 2 CO 3 has been reported and the compounds have been screened for their potential antimicrobial activities.
