A series of N‐N‐N terdendate polypyridine type ligands and their N‐C‐N cyclometalating homologues were synthetized and fully characterized (L 1 ‐L 12 ). Complete assignments of the 1 H spectra of the various compounds, accomplished by using a combination of one‐ and two‐dimensional nmr techniques, and 13 C data are also reported.
