New derivatives of 3 ,4‐dihydrospiro[cycloalkane‐1′,2(1 H )‐quinolines] were obtained from cycloheptanone and cyclooctanone via facile three steps hetero spiro annulation process. Their nitro derivatives were prepared through electrophilic substitution reactions.
