The 1 H and 13 C nmr signals of the methylene groups directly linked to the phosphorus atoms, namely P(2)‐C(3)H 2 and P(8)‐C(7)H 2 in 1a were assigned with the help of hetronuclear decoupling experiments and HETCOR spectrum.
