Convenient synthesis of 4‐trifluoroacetylpyrazoles from aldehyde tert ‐butylhydrazones

Several 1‐( tert ‐butyl)‐4‐trifluoroacetylpyrazoles 3 were synthesized by the reaction of aldehyde tert ‐butylhy‐drazones 2 with 4‐ethoxy‐1,1,1‐trifluoro‐3‐buten‐2‐one ( 1 ). The tert ‐butyl group could be readily removed by treatment of 3 with 90% sulfuric acid.
