Two different synthetic routes to 5‐(3,6‐dihydro‐2‐oxo‐2 H ‐1,3,4‐thiadiazin‐5‐yl)‐1 H ‐indole‐2,3‐diones are described. The reaction sequences represent a facile entry into these series of isatin derivatives.
