Some ω‐(2‐benzofuranyl)alkanoic acids 1 , n = 2‐5 were synthesized by acylation of benzofuran with ω‐(ethoxycarbonyl)alkanoic acids in trifluoroacetic anhydride followed by Wolff‐Kishner reductions.
