Diphenylnitrilimine reacts with 1‐( N ‐phenacylidene)amino‐1,2,3‐triazoles 1 to give mainly 1,2,4‐ and 2 H ‐1,2,3‐triazoles 2 and 3 . CNDO/2 calculations were made on the compounds 1 and the cycloaddition was also examined on the basis of the interacting frontier molecular orbitals.
