Abstract La mise en oeuvre du t ‐butylthio‐2 benzaldéhyde et la cyclisation par chauffage dans l'acide polyphosphorique des ( t ‐butylthio‐2 phényl)‐3 cyano‐2 acrylamides conduit intermédiairement aux carboxamido‐3 imino‐2 2 H ‐(benzo[ b ]thiopyranne‐1), hydrolysables en thiocoumarines. Les auteurs suggèrent la formation intermédiaire d'un ion thiophénate prenant naissance par un mécanisme électronique à six centres.
