The synthesis of both isomers of benzo[1,2]phenaleno[ bc ]thiophene namely, benzo[1,2]phenaleno[3,4‐ bc ]‐thiophene and benzo[1,2]phenaleno[4,3‐ bc ]thiophene is described.
