Nous décrivons les premières synthèses d'aryl‐2 benzo[4,5]thiéno[2,3‐ b ]pyrannone‐4 et d'aryl‐2 benzo[4,5]thiéno[3,2‐ b ] pyrannone‐4 à partir du benzo[4,5]thiophène, et étendons ces cyclisations pour obtenir des hétérologues des xanthones.
