The reaction of 6‐aminoeoumarin with some ethoxymethylene compounds and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate led to condensation products which on thermal cyclizations afford new derivatives of 3 H ‐pyrano[3,2‐ f ]quinoline (IIa‐IIc).
