Abstract Fusion of 1‐phenyl‐2‐acylhydrazine (III) with urea gave Δ 2 ‐1,2,4‐triazolin‐5‐one and Δ 2 ‐1,3,4‐oxadiazolin‐5‐one derivatives together with various by‐products. Furthermore, various derivatives were synthesized for the purpose of examination in a pharmacological screening test.
