Syntheses of 2,5‐disubstituted‐indazolones (Ixa–g) and 3‐hydroxy‐1‐substituted‐1 H ‐indazoles (XIVa,b) were achieved by diazotization of 2‐benzoylaniline (VIa–g) and N ‐benzoylhydrazine (XIIa–c), respectively.
