A number of v ‐triazoles were prepared by the 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition of glycosyl azides on phenylacetylene. In all the cases studied, except when 2‐ O ‐trichloroacetyI‐3,4,6‐tri‐ O ‐acetyl‐α‐D‐glucopyranosyl azide was used, the two possible v ‐triazoles were obtained. The assignment of structure and anomeric configuration for all N ‐glycosides obtained is discussed.
