A series of 2‐aryl‐3‐alkyl or aryl carbamoyl‐ and thiocarbamoyl‐1,3‐oxazolidines was prepared by the reactions of alkyl and aryl isocyanates and isothiocyanates with N ‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐benzalamincs. The nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of these compounds are discussed.
