The mass spectra of bicyclic phosphites of the type P(OCH 2 ) 3 CR, where R = CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , and C 3 H 7 and NO 2 , are reported, and their fragmentation patterns analyzed. Unlike trialkyl phosphites, these cyclic phosphites do not yield a large number of phosphorus‐containing fragment ions resulting from hydrogen rearrangement.
