A series of new indeno[1,2‐ b ]pyrazolo[4,3‐ e ]pyridin‐5(1 H )‐one derivatives were synthesized by three‐component reactions of 1,3‐indandione, 3‐methyl‐1 H ‐pyrazol‐5‐amine, and aldehyde in water under microwave irradiation without any catalyst. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
