ome molecular modifications were attempted to find antiviral active compounds in the class of triarylmethanes against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV‐1). All the synthesized compounds were evaluated for antiviral activity with HSV‐1 by a plaque reduction assay. Some of the compounds showed significant antiviral activities. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
