A series of quinoxaline derivatives have been synthesized in excellent yields by the condensation of 1,2‐diketones and 1,2‐phenylenediamines in the presence of a catalytic amount of NbCl 5 at room temperature in short times. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
