Few amino derivatives of benzo[de]benzo[4,5]imidazo[2,1‐a]isoquinolin‐7‐one having amino groups at different positions of the rings are prepared and characterized. Solvent‐dependent emission and changes in emission properties on protonation of amine group are observed. J. Heterocyclic Chem., (2010).
