The title compound is used as a precursor in synthesis of differently sized heterocyclic systems bearing quinoline moeity. Investigation of antimicrobial activity of the new products was evaluated using agar well diffusion method against six reference microbial isolates. Most of the new compounds are potent as antimicrobial agents.
