A series of novel thiazole acrylonitrile derivatives was designed and synthesized utilizing NC‐510 as a precursor. Their structures were characterized by NMR spectrometry, MS, and elemental analysis. The results of bioassay indicated that some of these title compounds exhibited 100% mortality at 50 mg/L against Aphis fabae . In particular, the compound 11c displayed the best activity: Its LC 50 value achieved 1.45 mg/L, and its insecticidal potency is comparable with that of NC‐510.
