Ionic liquid [bmim]BF 4 was found to be an efficient and recyclable reaction medium for the one‐pot synthesis of pyrido[2,3‐ d ]pyrimidines. The structures of the products were characterized by IR, 1 H NMR, and HRMS spectra. This method had the advantages of easier work‐up, milder reaction conditions, high yields, and environmentally benign procedure.
