Highlight Ito et al demonstrate the technical details for visualization of hepatic segments by fluorescence imaging following injection of indocyanine green directly into the corresponding portal branches in laparoscopic settings. This positive staining technique may develop into an essential surgical technique enhancing the accuracy of laparoscopic hepatectomy.
