The main role of imaging is to provide a description of the appearance, size, and location of adnexal lesions and associated abnormalities. In some circumstances, the aggressive potential of an adnexal lesion may be suggested on the basis of the imaging findings, the age of the patient, and the clinical data. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
