Venous engorgement of the breast demonstrated on mammography is usually considered a minor sign of malignancy. We report the sonographic and mammographic findings in an unusual case of asymmetric enlargement of the mammary veins in a middle‐aged patient as a complication of long‐term hemodialysis. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
