We report 2 patients who developed pain in the region of the iliopsoas tendon after undergoing total hip arthroplasty. The pain was temporarily relieved by sonographically guided injection of steroid and anesthetic and was subsequently treated by surgical release of the tendon. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
