Solitary nerve sheath tumors are rare, but they are more frequent in the flexor surface of the extremities. Very often, they give rise to diagnostic problems due to the radiating and usually ill‐defined characteristics of their symptomatology. The nature of the tumor can occasionally be suspected by its location in relation to a peripheral nerve. It originates from the cells of Schwann's sheath, and it represents a major part of benign peripheral nerve tumors. 1,5 A correct diagnosis can strongly be suggested by means of ultrasound and MRI.
