Abstract We report the real‐time cross‐sectional echocardiographic findings in a case of cardiac amyloidosis. Alterations in cardiac structure and function previously demonstrated by M‐mode echocardiography were also demonstrable on cross‐sectional examination. A new finding of an altered pattern of myocardial echoes detected by cross‐sectional echocardiography alone is described.
