A simple technique to determine the extent of abdominal aortic aneurysms on B‐mode sonography

A simple technique is presented to evaluate extension of abdominal aortic aneurysms above the level of the renal arteries at sonography. Knowledge of such extension is important because these cases may require a thoroacoabdominal surgical approach. Iliac extension of abdominal aortic aneurysms also may be evaluated by sonography.
