This paper describes various ways of stabilising a ferro‐vanadium waste. In each case a combination of the ferro‐vanadium waste together with fly ash was employed. The methods investigated ranged from physical encapsulation in different matrices to high temperature immobilisation in solid products. © 2002 Society of Chemical Industry
