The extraction of Ga(III) from chloride solutions by Amberlite LA‐2 dissolved in kerosene at 25°C has been investigated. The effects of the concentrations of gallium, chloride and Amberlite LA‐2, and pH, on the equilibrium are reported. Extracted complexes are formulated using a slope analysis of the equilibrium data. All gallium was back‐extracted from the loaded organic phase with water.
