Enantioselective hydrolysis of racemic acetate or butyrates of 1‐hydroxy [3](1,1′) ferrocenophane and endo ‐1‐hydroxy [4](1,2) ferrocenophane using lipases, pig liver esterase and horse liver esterase resulted in the formation of ( R )‐alcohols and ( S )‐esters.
