The kinetics of the adsorption of 2,4,5‐trichlorophenoxyacetic acid by activated carbons from an aqueous solution has been studied at several temperatures (10°C to 50°C). The activated carbons used were Merck (No. 2514) and one prepared from almond shells (C‐A‐14). The adsorption process seems to be of the order two and the desorption of the order one. The thermodynamic functions for the formation of the activated complex have also been calculated.
