Pig thymus tissue was cultured with organ culture techniques in the presence and absence of phytohemagglutinin in the culture medium. Morphologic and autoradiographic observations indicate that in the pig, lymphocytes capable of responding to phytohemagglutinin are located predominantly in the medulla of the thymus.
