A Latina psychotherapist relates the influences of culture, ethnicity, gender, and class in her process of becoming a psychotherapist. Struggling with physical impediment, cultural translocation, racism, sexism, and their interaction, she has grounded her identity as a wounded healer. The pervasive role of history and sociopolitics in her life has contributed to her articulation of psychotherapy's role in liberation. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
