Alloalbumin Tagliacozzo(313Lys→ Asn) was detected in the cerebrospinal fluid of a 27‐yr‐old woman. We studied this rare finding by means of high‐resolution electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, and immunofixation. We herein discuss the importance of molecular mass versus superficial electrical charge in the transfer of plasma proteins through the blood‐brain barrier.
