We extend the set of values of n for which it is known that a Z‐cyclic triple whist tournament for 4 n players exists by proving that if there exists such a tournament for q + 1 players, where q ≡ 3 (mod 4) is prime, then there exists such a tournament for qp a1 1 … p a n n + 1 players, whenever the p i are primes ≡ 5 (mod 8). © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
