Hydrogen‐rich materials are potential high‐temperature superconductors at pressures lower than metal hydrogen, mainly because hydrogen atoms can provide strong electron–phonon coupling and high phonon frequencies in hydrogen‐rich materials. This review provides a systematic overview of the crystal type, stability, pressure‐induced transition, metallization and superconductivity of binary light‐metal hydrides under high pressure.
