A new phthalide derivative named calocephalactone was isolated from the root of Leontopodium calocephalum . Its structure was elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods, including HRESIMS, IR, 1D and 2D NMR. We also evaluated its the antibacterial experiment, calocephalactone ( 1 ) did not show obvious antibacterial activity.
