In this paper, it is demonstrated that the intermolecular hydrogen bond interactions between 7‐(3′‐Pyridyl)indole and one/two waters are all strengthened upon photoexcitation to the S 1 state. Moreover, it is concluded that intermolecular hydrogen bonding strengthening in the excited S 1 state induces the fluorescence weakening of 7‐(3′‐Pyridyl)indole.
